THIS IS ACTUALLY YOUR OWN NON-CUSTODIAL, DECENTRALIZED (MAGIC) SMART WALLET…

The company providing us their SDK (Software Development Kit) and API (Application Programming Interface) is dynamic.xyz, a young Israeli Start-up. They have a truly wonderful, international, intercultural team: truly dynamic!

It is highly important you understand this is a non-custodial wallet. To understand better, you can read this article on crypto.co; “For a custodial wallet, a third party takes custody of the private key instead of the crypto owner. For a non-custodial wallet, the crypto owner holds their own private key and, therefore, their funds.”

What are private keys, you may ask? To fully understand this, you may have a look here on Binance Academy. Private keys are truly important when you own a (non-custodial) crypto wallet, as they are like the keys to your home’s letterbox, or the keys to yous safe. You absolutely want to safeguard those keys. It is also one of the reasons why we have put such a prominent (required) legal notice on our home page…

To help the people new to blockchains, crypto and NFTs, a simple view on public and private keys, may be this:

Important notice: the sending of text or data via the use of so-called smart contracts, in case of cryptocurrencies, is a functionality that only came into being once ETH or Ethereum was created, in 2013 (which went live for all to use in 2015.) Bitcoin went live in January 2009, for your information.

A ledger can be compared to an excel-sheet. So, every transaction of Bitcoin or Ethereum is publicly available online: comparable to a gigantic excel-sheet with all transactions publicly available. The short for transaction is Tx. Online, you can find these on a blockchain explorer.

In case of bitcoin, you could go look here: bitcoinexplorer.org There you can find useful information, such as transaction volumes: bitcoinexplorer.org/tx-stats

On the top right corner, you have a search engine, allowing you to search any transaction, wallet address or other relevant info:

Txid stands for Transaction ID. Now, for our purposes here, we’ll have a look at 2 specific blockchain explorers; The first one will be for Ethereum, the second one for Optimism. There is a very good reason for this. We are working with Ethereum, which is our line one, as well as, in specific, Optimism which is the line2 blockchain we are using.

It is important to understand what we imply by line1 and line2 blockchain. If you wish to understand line1/layer1 and line2/layer2 blockchains better, have a look here on Chainport, which dives deeper into what these concepts imply, and how they do function. Ethereum is our layer 1 public blockchain, Optimism is our layer 2 public blockchain.

Most relevant to us, is this: “Layer 1 refers to the main blockchain itself, such as Ethereum. Layer 2 solutions operate on top of the main blockchain, processing transactions off-chain and then batching them onto the main chain to improve scalability, for which we have chosen Optimism. Layer2’s help reduce transaction costs, increase transaction throughput, and improve overall network scalability. Optimistic Rollups and zk-Rollups are the two main types of rollups that are utilized by different Layer2’s. Hence, also the name Optimism…”

Here’s an Etherum explorer: etherscan.io And here’s our Optimism explorer: optimistic.etherscan.io As you notice, both are “etherscan.io” with a slight difference in online domain naming. This is logical, as Optimism, the public blockchain we are using for our NFTs, directly interrelates with ETH or Ethereum. As mentioned above, our main reasons for using this Line2/Layer2-Solution/Optimism, are REDUCED TRANSACTION COSTS & SCALABILITY. You don’t have to take our word for it, yet, we have chosen wisely and inherently pragmatically. Here too, on optimistic.etherscan.io, you can use a search engine:

We know, it takes a while to read and browse through all of this ‘wordy’ explanation here. Yet, WE WANT TO BE AS TRANSPARENT AS POSSIBLE WITH YOU, our participants, users, players, stakeholders, community.

When you buy an NFT, you can find it’s origin, reference, Tx, Txid, smart contract online. This is the power of web3. It’s transparent and traceable. If we were to do anything illicit or illegal, eventually authorities would catch up with us, and we would go to jail. The proof is in the pudding.

So, let’s jump to how and where we created our NFTs. They were made via a comfortable, and relatively easy platform, named: manifold.xyz Go check it out, if you have some time. With a little, yet fair amount of studying, this platform enables you to create NFT-membership series (amongst other interesting services Manifold offers.) Hence, if you are knowledgeable about crypto, NFTs and blockchains, and already have a wallet, you can simply buy your Gold Magictribe.one Membership here: app.manifold.xyz/c/magictribeone-gold-membership-treespaces

One of the great aspects of the Manifold-platform is, it automatically stores the graphical image of your/our NFTs on Arweave/Ardrive:

Feel free to check out: Arweave and/or Ardrive. This is very relevant, as it shows you we are choosing the absolute best in terms of quality and safety. Creating NFTs, as such, is not so highly complicated (any more.) Yet, doing so in a way that upholds the highest standards, whilst using the best systems available to humanity, is a whole other ballgame…

Many NFT, public blockchain or crypto projects, opt for the more easy way. At best, they are storing your data on IPFS (The InterPlanetary File System,) for which you can find more information here, on pinata.cloud If you want a general, yet deep technical dive on all types of storage systems, look here. Now, if we compare IPFS with Arweave/Ardrive, the one that is truly permanent is Arweave/Ardrive. Roughly spoken, IPFS is 93-98% secure, yet Ardrive/Arweave is more like 99% secure.

Another comfortable advantage is, once an NFT is minted via Manifold, it also appears automatically on Opensea. Minting establishes ownership and provenance of the digital item on the blockchain, ensuring its uniqueness and authenticity. (To know more check here: opensea.io/learn) Opensea is an NFT-marketplace, where you can create, list, buy or sell NFTs.

The first Magictribe Gold Membership NFT can be found on the Opensea marketplace. Have a look here: opensea.io/collection/magictribe-one, and to be more precise, it is exactly this one: opensea.io/assets/optimism

It mentions #1/3000, which is correct at this time of writing (November 24th of 2024.) We only have made 3000 of 10000 Magictribe.one Gold Membership NFTs available at this time. The arrow points to the information added to the NFT about how it functions, and what it does. The important difference with our Pioneer Circle NFT is the numbering of the NFTs.

Each Magictribe.one Gold Membership will have 2 unique aspects: 1. Each NFT has a unique number. 2. Each Gold Membership NFT belongs to a specific, thematic edition. Our first edition is the Treespaces Edition, mainly focused on tree planting.

Furthermore, on the Opensea-market, the public address of the owner is retrievable. Simply hover over, or, click on F50849. Then it displays the public address of its owner.

We simply don’t know who the owner is. We don’t know her or his name, where on the planet they live, and so forth. This information is not publicly available. Internally, as a company, we have a way of knowing via the payment method. If it is bought directly on Manifold with a fully decentralized wallet, such as Matamask, there is no direct way of knowing for us as a company, at this stage. If it is bought via card, we know who it is. As mentioned via our FAQ-article on KYC/AML (Know Your Customer/Anti Money Laundering), we will have to comply with regulations. Hence, our clear warning/notice, that for very specific gamified activities through our membership, we will have to ask each member to comply with KYC/AML, which we will install relatively soon. Yet, the loophole that is there for now, is limited, as even Metamask Wallet Provider does register the IP-address of the computer on which the Metamask wallet is used.

Our company Magictribe Media Ltd. has all intent to comply with regulators, and wants to play by the books. And in terms of functionality, any member that thinks they can escape KYC/AML is wrong. We are a media and gaming company, with full intent of driving real-world climate impact. We want to stay far away from any illicit or illegal activity. We want to work for the benefit of humanity, whilst strictly upholding the law _in any nation on the planet.

Besides complying with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation of the EU), as well as other similar data protection regulations, we believe any participant must reveal themselves to authorities for tax regulations. Yet, for our gamified platform, not everyone needs to know who is the owner of this or that given NFT. In that sense, we uphold privacy. Even though we may know the name and/or email of the owner of any given NFT, it is up to the user to reveal this, or, not _to our community.

So, now let’s have a look at what is publicly available, when looking at the data available on Opensea. To this end, we can copy the owner’s address, which is this alphanumeric number: 0xF5084976cb3637a00713cB0C46d72968c93F1A12

Once copied, we can input it into optimistic.etherscan.io (The public ledger/excel-like spreadsheet, remember?)

Then we press enter…

Just to show you, our reader, how transparent and traceable blockchains are… We can see how much funds the owner has in their wallet. (Mind you anyone can create an endless amounts of wallets, and as long these wallets are not interconnected, no one can truly know the net worth of anyone on web3. You can sleep safely. It is good though to build some insight though of how all of this works… This is exactly the reason why we are showing you. We are not exposing anyone here, just showing you how transparent and traceable blockchains can be.)

Now, to return to our Magictribe.one Wallet, which was the reason for our journey here. A few things are truly important and relevant to understand:

  1. When you create a wallet, after having paid for your Pioneer Circle NFT, and/or your Gold Circle NFT, the wallet is yours. It is non-custodial. Neither dynamic.xyz, nor Magictribe Media Ltd. can ever touch your NFTs or any crypto related to your wallet. The NFTs are yours, and only yours, until one day you might want to re-sell these.

  2. The Pioneer Circle NFT is lifetime. The Gold Circle is valid three years, yet gives you the opportunity to boost into a lifetime Magictribe.one membership.

  3. Both have specific perks and advantages, which are clearly specified in the terms and conditions you agree with, upon buying either NFT. These terms and conditions bind Magictribe Media Ltd. legally to deliver the services we promise to deliver.

  4. The 3 main risks are: A. Our company goes broke. This could happen to your sports club as well. However, the positive news is, we wish to keep going for decades to come. B. The project doesn’t gain traction & the value of your NFT lowers. From our point of view, chances are slim. Simply, because if you play along and get pro-active within our community, our community will grow, and so the amount of perks and opportunities… C. You would lose the keys to your wallet. Something you/we all want to absolutely avoid.

  5. Currently, the functionality of the wallet has certain limits. We do this on purpose, as not to overwhelm users new to NFTs and blockchains. Moreover, we do this for legal purposes. We need some time to add development, and we want to make sure we do so, whilst fully complying with regulators. This correlates to our sales volume. As our sales volume increases, we will need to take specific steps in terms of complying with regulators. We simply have to start somewhere, and make the journey as smooth as possible for you, the user/participant/player.

  6. That being said (5.) we are envisioning to connect the wallet to our telegram group, to our future mini-games on Telegram, Forecaster, and so forth. We want to enable you to connect your wallet to our sites, in order for you to access specific areas, corresponding to the circle you belong to (for now, being The Pioneer Circle, and/or The Gold Circle.)

Now let’s have a look at the wallet itself. When you have paid, it leads you to this type of screen:

VERY IMPORTANT IS THAT YOU AVOID CLOSING (THIS TAB ON) YOUR BROWSER!!! Otherwise, you will have to contact us, and provide proof of payment, in order to get hold of your NFT. Under any normal, logical circumstances, click Signup, which then leads you to this page:

AGAIN IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU AVOID CLOSING (THIS TAB ON) YOUR BROWSER!!! Otherwise, you will have to contact us, and provide proof of payment, in order to get hold of your NFT. Under any normal, logical circumstances, fill in your email, (unless you are a crypto-native, highly knowledgeable on web3-wallets,) which then leads you to this page:

ONCE AGAIN IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU AVOID CLOSING (THIS TAB ON) YOUR BROWSER!!! Otherwise, you will have to contact us, and provide proof of payment, in order to get hold of your NFT. Under any normal, logical circumstances, fill in the verification code sent to your email, which then leads you to this page:

ONCE YOU ARE HERE, YOUR WALLET HAS BEEN CREATED. ALLOW FOR 24 HOURS FOR YOUR NFT TO BE SENT TO YOUR WALLET. MOREOVER, THE SIGNUP ALSO TRIGGERS AN EMAIL TO YOUR INBOX WITH FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS, SIGN-UP LINK TO YOUR WALLET, AS WELL AS SOME WORDS ON WHAT’S NEXT. Moreover, we’ll revisit this FAQ-article adding more relevant information, as we progress on our journey…
